You can find Cordillera Innovative Fashions Private Limited at NO 31 on the 1st Floor of the building on H Siddiah Road, 9th Cross. We’re right in the middle of Bangalore-Karnataka. Being on the first floor means we have to carry everything up and down the stairs, which keeps us pretty fit, I guess. The 9th Cross is a busy little street, and parking can be a real nightmare if you don't get here early in the morning. The office is usually full of samples and fabric scraps. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. We focus on fashion work, so there’s always someone sketching something or measuring a piece of cloth. It’s a bit different from the big industrial zones because we are right in the heart of the city. You can hear the street noise from the windows all day long. Sometimes we have to close them just to hear each other talk. We’ve been in this building for a while now and have gotten to know the other tenants. It’s a mix of different small businesses. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name on the door. Our days are mostly spent dealing with designs and making sure the stitching is right. It’s a lot of manual work, and the hours can get long when a deadline is coming up. We just keep our heads down and do the work as it comes in from the clients.
