House # 12 is where we do all our work. It’s located in Bangalore, specifically in the 560050 part of Karnataka. It’s more of a home-style office than a cold corporate building. We like it that way because it feels more relaxed. You won't find any marble floors here, just regular tiles and some old office furniture that has seen better days. As a Chartered Accountants Firm, we spend most of our time dealing with the government forms and the tax filings that everyone dreads. There are usually files stacked up on the floor because the shelves are already full. We have a few computers that are always running, and the printer gets a real workout every afternoon. The neighborhood around 560050 is pretty nice, and we’ve gotten to know the people who live nearby. Sometimes neighbors just stop in to ask a quick question about their taxes. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that. We just show up, drink some tea, and get to work on whatever is on the desk. It gets pretty busy when the year ends, and we might stay late into the evening, but usually, it's just a steady flow of work. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in India. We just want to do a decent job from our little spot at House # 12 and keep things moving for our clients.
