Our office is called ‘Shanthri’ and sits at number 25 on 17th Cross, right along Siddashrama Road in Malleswaram. This part of Bangalore has a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of it. We’ve been operating as Chandrashekar Kote & Co for a long time now. It’s a simple place where we handle all sorts of chartered accountancy work. We don't have a flashy lobby or a bunch of assistants in suits. It’s mostly just us sitting at our desks with calculators and pens. Malleswaram is a great place to work because it’s got a bit of a slower pace than the rest of the city. We get a lot of local shopkeepers and families coming in for help with their taxes. Usually, we’re just sorting through piles of documents to make sure everything is legal and correct. We don't do much advertising. Most people just walk in because they saw the sign on Siddashrama Road or a friend told them to come here. We try to keep things honest and practical. If a client has a problem with their accounts, we sit down and look at it together until it’s sorted. The office can get a bit cluttered with all the files, but we know where everything is. It’s just a regular local business trying to do right by the community and keep the books in order. It’s how things have been for years and we like it that way.
