Chalk - House Of Children Llp is over at No 17/1 on 3rd Cross in Malleshwaram. This part of Bangalore has a very particular feel, with the old trees and the narrow lanes. Our place is actually a house that we converted into a space for children. We like being on the 3rd Cross because it is much quieter than the main streets nearby. You can see us out there in the mornings when the kids start arriving for the day. We kept the name simple because we aren't into anything complicated. It isn't a brand-new building with shiny walls, but a place that feels comfortable and used. The floors have some scuffs here and there from all the activity, but we keep it tidy. We spend our days teaching and looking after the little ones. Bangalore-560003 is our little corner. There is usually someone around to answer the door if you drop by. We don't have a marketing department or anything fancy. We just come in every morning and do the work. The kitchen usually has some tea ready for the staff. It’s a very practical setup for us. We also have a bit of outdoor space for the kids to get some fresh air. It feels like a natural part of the Malleshwaram neighborhood, which is what we wanted from the start. We are just a local group doing our part for the families around here.
