The shop is tucked away in Vijaya Bank Colony on the 3rd Cross. If you know Basavanapura Road in K R Puram, you know it can get pretty crowded with traffic, but our little corner at number 200 is slightly back from the main noise. We spend our days mostly covered in flour or worrying about the oven temperatures. It is a simple setup in an old building and we have had to fix the plumbing more than once. The delivery guys are always running in and out, checking their phones and grabbing boxes. Sometimes the smell of vanilla gets so strong we don't even notice it anymore, though people walking by usually mention it. We aren't trying to be some high-end boutique. It is just a group of us trying to get the orders right and out the door on time. The tables are a bit cluttered with order slips and rolls of ribbon. There is always a stack of empty boxes in the corner waiting to be folded. In the evenings, the light in the colony gets nice and we usually sit outside for five minutes before finishing the last batch. It is a lot of cleaning up spills and making sure the fridge stays cold enough. We keep things pretty straightforward here without any big corporate rules or anything like that. Just a local spot doing its thing every day of the week.
