Our company is based at 1003, D K Residency, which is on the parallel road to the railway station in Kengeri Upanagara. It is an LLP setup, mostly focusing on food and beverages. Being so close to the station means there is always a lot of noise and people moving around. You can hear the trains passing by all day long. It gets quite dusty because of the road, so we are constantly wiping down the counters and floors. We have a small team of people who show up every morning to get things ready. We don't have big meetings or formal presentations. We just talk about what needs to be done while we handle the supplies. The residency building is a landmark around here, so people usually find us without too much trouble. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to scramble to get things sorted. That is just part of living in Bangalore. We don’t have a big budget for advertising. Most people just walk in because they are heading to the station or live in the nearby apartments. We make mistakes sometimes, like forgetting to call a supplier or running low on change for the till. We just fix it and keep going. The afternoons can be quite slow, so we take turns having lunch. It is a practical, everyday kind of business. We just want to do our work and go home at the end of the day.
