Bagmane Texworth is down at No. 62(26) on J M Road in the 560002 area. If you’ve ever been to this part of Bangalore, you know it’s the heart of the old city. It’s incredibly crowded and there are people everywhere. We are right in the thick of the textile district. The noise from the street never really stops, but you get used to it after a few days. Our office is small and packed with ledgers and fabric swatches. We deal with textiles, which is what J M Road is famous for. There isn't much room for a fancy reception area. You just walk in and you’re right there with us. We spend the day talking to vendors and checking the quality of the cloth. It’s a bit old-school here. We still use physical notebooks for a lot of things because it feels more reliable. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s usually when we take a five-minute break. We don't have any polished marketing materials. Most of our customers come to us because they’ve known us for a long time or someone told them about us. It’s a busy, cramped, and lively place to work. We like being in the center of the trade. It feels real. We just keep our heads down and make sure the orders are moving along like they should. It is a lot of hard work but we enjoy it.
