Our office is over at No.19 in C.K. Garden, right in the St. Thomas Town area. It’s a quiet enough pocket of Bangalore, or at least as quiet as it gets around here. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good chunk of time. If you’re coming down the street, you’ll see our sign, though it might need a bit of a scrub after the last monsoon. Inside, it’s mostly shelves full of ledgers and old files that we haven't digitized yet. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just going through records for the people who trust us with their accounts. The morning routine is pretty fixed—open the shutters, get the fans going, and start on the pile of work from the day before. We aren't trying to be one of those high-rise corporate firms you see in the city center. We like it here in C.K. Garden because it feels more like a community. Sometimes the neighbor’s dog barks a bit too much, but you get used to it. Most of our day is spent making sure the math adds up and the forms are sent off on time. It can be tedious work for some, but it’s what we do. We usually wrap up as the sun goes down and the streetlights start flickering on. It’s a straightforward business, no frills or complicated nonsense involved in our daily operations.
