Our place is tucked away in Basavanagudi on Surveyor Street. If you know Gandhibazar, you know how busy it gets, especially near the DVG Cross Road. We operate as Avigdor Leather Exports India Private Limited from No. 83/123. It is an old part of Bangalore with a lot of character and history. We deal with leather items mostly. The smell of leather is pretty much everywhere in the office when you walk in. It is a small space, and we keep it pretty simple. There are stacks of samples and files all over the desks. Sometimes the street outside is so noisy with shoppers that we have to close the windows to hear each other. We have been at this address for a while now. It is a good location for us because of the tradition of the area. We are not trying to be some big, polished corporation. We just look at the leather and talk to our suppliers. Most of the staff has been here for years. We know the neighbors and the local tea shop guys quite well. It is a real community vibe here in Basavanagudi. We spend our mornings checking shipments and the afternoons packing things up. It is hard work, and sometimes the days are long, but that is just how the leather business goes. We do not have any fancy posters on the walls, just calendars and some old notes from past jobs.
