Our office is on the first floor over at 9th Cross in Mahalakshmi Layout. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the files and blueprints, but it works for us. Arthapoorna Constructions is really just a handful of us who like building things. We aren't those corporate types in suits. Most of the time, I’m wearing dusty boots and checking on a site somewhere in Bangalore. This city is growing so fast, and we’re just trying to keep up. We handle the small stuff and the medium stuff too. People in the layout know us as the guys who actually show up when they say they will. It’s tough finding reliable help sometimes, but we’ve got a core group that’s been with us for years. We eat lunch together on the site, usually sitting on some bricks or a bag of sand. It’s a simple life. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. If we do a good job, the word spreads. That’s enough for us. Sometimes the paperwork gets overwhelming, especially with all the new rules, but we push through it. We like being in Mahalakshmi Layout because it feels like a real community. You see the same faces every day at the tea stall. We’re just part of the neighborhood, trying to do some decent work and earn a living for our families while we can.
