Our place is at Alexaj Overseas, right on the ground floor of Site No 57. We are out on Mysore Road in the Kambipura Village area. If you know that part of Bangalore South, you know the road is always packed with trucks and buses headed out of the city. Being on the ground floor helps when we have to move stuff in and out of the office. We don’t have to worry about elevators breaking down. The 560074 area is a bit of a trek from the main city center, but it’s where we do our business. Most days are spent on the computer tracking shipments or talking to folks about export rules. It’s nothing glamorous. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to care about that. There’s a small tea stall nearby where we go when we need a break from the screen. We deal with overseas stuff, so the time zones can be a bit tricky sometimes. You might see someone staying late because of a call with a client in a different country. We try to keep things organized, though the desk gets covered in papers by noon. It’s just a regular group of people doing their thing. No fancy suits here, just comfortable clothes and a lot of work to get through. We just focus on moving the goods and making sure the forms are signed.
