You can find our dairy operation at the 3rd Main Dead End in the Judiciary Layout. It is off Kanakapura Main Road in Thalagattapura. Being at the end of a dead-end street makes it a bit quieter than the main road, which is good for the trucks coming in. We handle milk and dairy products, so our day starts much earlier than most people in Bangalore. The cold storage units are always humming in the background and that sound becomes part of your life after a while. We wear boots because the floor is often wet from the cleaning we do after each batch of milk comes in. It is a lot of heavy lifting with the cans and crates. The Judiciary Layout area is mostly houses, so we try not to make too much noise in the dark hours of the morning. We have a small crew that has been with us for a long time. There is no fancy lobby here, just a concrete floor and some cooling tanks. We spend our time checking the fat content and making sure the temperature stays exactly where it should be. If the power fluctuates, everyone starts moving fast to check the generators. It is honest, physical work that doesn't leave much time for sitting around. We just focus on the milk and getting it ready for the morning routes before the traffic starts.
