We are up on the second floor of the Balaji Building, which is No. 33/3 on the Hennur Bangalore Main Road. It is near the Kothanur Post area. Our company is A&R Engineering & Construction Privatelimited. We handle the engineering side of things along with the actual building work. The office is usually a bit of a mess with blueprints and rolls of paper everywhere. Being on the second floor gives us a bit of a view of the main road traffic, which is always moving. We have a small team, mostly engineers and a few guys who manage the labor on site. We are not big on corporate meetings; we usually just talk over tea in the morning about what needs to happen that day. Hennur is a busy part of town, so getting around can be a pain sometimes, but it is a good central spot for our projects. We do not have a lot of polished marketing materials because we would rather spend that time making sure the concrete is poured right or the wiring is correct. It is a practical business. We have had our share of tough projects where things did not go perfectly, but we always stay until the job is finished. It is just how we were taught to work. If you drop by, the stairs are at the side of the building, and someone is usually there during the day. We just keep our heads down and finish the work.
