You can find us at Number 4 in the Kadugodi Industrial Area, out in Sadarmangala, Whitefield. This part of Bangalore is always changing, but our manufacturing unit has been here for a good bit now. It’s a large space because we actually make medical devices right here on the floor. There’s a lot of machinery and people in uniforms walking around. It’s not the kind of place where you sit at a desk all day. There is a lot of movement, from the assembly lines to the shipping docks. We have to be careful about how things are made, so there’s a lot of checking and re-checking. It’s a factory environment, through and through. The air smells a bit like metal and cleaning supplies. We have shifts running throughout the day, so there’s always someone here. Whitefield traffic is a mess, so most of us live nearby or take the company bus. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. The work is mostly about following the blueprints and making sure the devices are built right. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we just see it as our daily task. We take our breaks in the canteen and talk about the weekend. It’s a big operation, but at the end of the day, it’s just a group of people making things that hospitals use. We keep it simple and focus on the production line.
