Tarun Coffee Shop

Tarun Coffee Shop is located at 96-3-25 on Gulur Road in Bagepalli. It is a small, basic shop that we run ourselves. We don't have a huge variety of items, just the coffee and a few snacks we keep in the glass jar on the counter. The building is quite old and the ceiling is a bit low, but it stays cool enough with the fans running. Gulur Road is the main way through here, so we get a lot of people stopping in while they are traveling. It’s a bit dusty because of all the trucks, and we have to wipe the tables down constantly. We don't have a fancy website or any social media pages. People in Bagepalli just know where we are. My brother helps me out in the mornings when the milk is delivered and the first group of workers comes in. We don't have any formal uniforms, just our everyday clothes. The chairs are mismatched because we’ve added them one by one over the years. It isn't a place where you’d go for a fancy date, but it’s a good spot to sit for a minute and watch the traffic go by. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but we just keep serving whatever we have ready. We’ve been here for a long time and we like the simple way things work in our shop on the road.
