Our place, Stovekraft Pvt Ltd, is down in the Harohalli Industrial Area. It is a bit of a drive out to Kanakapura Taluk in Ramanagara, but this is where all the heavy lifting happens. We are mostly about those things you use in the kitchen every single day, like pressure cookers and non-stick pans. Being in an industrial zone means there is always a lot of noise from the machinery and trucks coming in and out of the gates at 81/1. It’s definitely not a quiet office job. Most of us spend our time on the factory floor or checking the inventory in the big warehouse. Ramanagara is quite far from the main city buzz of Bangalore, so it feels a bit different out here. We have a lot of people working different shifts to keep the production lines moving along. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons under the metal roofs, but we just get on with the work. We handle a few different brands that people have in their homes. It’s a very large site, so you can’t really miss the building if you are looking for us. We don’t have fancy carpets or expensive art on the walls. It is all about metal, cardboard boxes, and concrete. That is just how manufacturing goes. We try to keep things organized, though it can get a bit messy when a huge shipment arrives. It is honest, hard work every day.
