Shivaganga Organic Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Kempalinganahalli in the Nelamangala area. We don't really have a standard street number, we’re just part of the village setup there. It’s a group of us farmers who decided to get together to do things the organic way. It’s much harder than the usual way of farming because you have to deal with pests and soil health without using the easy chemicals. We spend most of our days out in the fields around Nelamangala Tq. It’s manual labor and your back definitely feels it by the end of the week. We aren't a big company with a shiny office in the city. We’re just local people who grow food. Sometimes the crops don't do as well as we hoped, and other times we have a great harvest. That’s just how farming goes. We started this producer company so we could help each other out with equipment and selling what we grow. It’s a simple arrangement and we don’t use any corporate jargon. If you come out to Kempalinganahalli, you’ll see our fields and the work we’re putting in. It’s an honest living and we’re just trying to keep the land healthy for the next generation. We all live around here and have known each other for years, so it’s more like a big family than a business.
