About Nandhini Milk Diary – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru Rural
The day starts really early here at Nandhini Milk Diary. We are located right on Anekal Main Road in Bidaraguppe, and the first milk trucks usually show up while it is still dark outside. It can be quite cold in the mornings, especially when you are handling crates of milk packets all day. We mostly deal with the regular blue and orange packets that everyone uses for their tea and coffee. People from the nearby houses come in around six or seven in the morning to pick up their daily supply. Sometimes the curd hasn't set right or the supply is a bit late because of traffic on the main road, but that is just how it goes. We keep the fridge running all the time, which makes a constant humming sound in the shop. It’s just a simple place at number 1 on the road. We have some sweets and ghee on the shelf too, but milk is the main thing. Dealing with change is the hardest part, everyone always has big notes and nobody has five-rupee coins. The floor gets a bit wet sometimes from the crates, so we have to keep mopping it. It isn't a big operation, just a local spot for the neighborhood to get their dairy. We stay open until late evening so people coming back from work can grab a packet for the next day. We have been here for a while and most folks around Anekal know us well enough.
