Finding us isn't always easy if you aren't from around here. We are located on Huliyurudurga Road in Magadi, part of the Ramanagara district. The address sounds long because it’s a rural area with places like Agalakote and Donakuppae nearby. This school is a modest place surrounded by green fields and open space. The kids come from the surrounding villages, often walking or taking a local bus. The building is simple, just some rooms with basic roofs and windows that let in the breeze. It gets dusty because of the road, but we try to keep it as clean as we can. We have a small playground where the children spend their breaks, and you can hear their shouting from across the fields. The teachers live nearby and know most of the parents personally. We don’t have much in the way of equipment, just the basics like blackboards and some old maps on the walls. It’s a quiet life out here. The school bell is hand-rung and marks the start and end of our day. We deal with the usual problems of a village school, like water issues or the occasional power failure. It is a place where we just focus on the lessons and making sure the children have a place to go. It’s humble and very much a part of the local landscape in Magadi. We are just doing our work.
