Balaji Water Plant

We’ve been running Balaji Water Plant here on Sidlaghatta Road for a while now. It’s a busy spot and the machines keep us on our toes most of the day. There isn't much fancy to say about what we do, it's just about getting the water ready and making sure everything is working like it should. Some days the traffic on the road gets a bit much when we're trying to move things around, but that's just how it is in this part of town. We spend a lot of time checking the filters and making sure the containers are clean before they go out. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and moving stuff, and the floor is almost always a bit wet. We don’t have a big office or anything, just the plant where all the work happens. People from around the neighborhood stop by sometimes to ask about the supply. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the task at hand. It gets loud with the pumps running, so we usually have to shout a bit to hear each other. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, which is frustrating, but we manage. It’s just us doing our jobs every day, making sure the bottles are filled and the area stays as tidy as a water plant can stay. We’re just local people working on Sidlaghatta Road. We don't worry about being big or famous.
