Vinayaka Electrical

Vinayaka Electrical is a small shop located at 175 in Gendehalli. We are right across the street from the Vijaya Bank, which makes us pretty easy to find if you are coming into the village. It’s a simple setup. The front of the shop is mostly taken up by shelves full of electrical supplies—bulbs, wires, switches, and whatever else we can fit in there. The back is where we keep the ladders and the heavier tools for when we have to go out on a call. It’s usually just me and a helper running the place. We don't have a fancy computer system to keep track of things; we mostly use a ledger and our own memory. Gendehalli is a quiet place for the most part, but there is always someone coming into the bank or stopping by to ask a question about a light fixture. We have been here at number 175 for several years, and we know just about everyone in the area. There’s no big sign or flashing lights outside. People just know we are here. Sometimes we sit on the bench out front if the shop is quiet and watch the traffic go by. We don't have a mission statement or any of that. We just open the doors in the morning and see what the day brings. It’s a good life, and we are happy to be a part of the community here in Gendehalli.
