Our spot is in Maradu, over in Ernakulam, Kerala. Specifically, we’re at the Naduvilechennamkulam house, which is a bit of a mouthful for anyone not from around here. It’s a green area, very typical for this part of Kerala, and being close to the water means it’s always a bit damp. Jsw Steel uses this location as a local base for managing things in this region. It’s not a factory with smokestacks; it feels much more like a regular home that’s been converted for work. We have our files, a couple of desks, and a lot of rain for half the year. The neighbors know us, and we try to keep things quiet and respectful since it’s a residential pocket. Most of the staff comes from nearby towns, so we all speak the same language and share the local news over lunch. We aren't doing anything flashy here. We just handle the local distributions or check on the regional accounts. It’s a slow and steady kind of place compared to the massive steel mills in other states. We like the pace here. Sometimes it’s hard to stay focused when it’s pouring outside and all you want is a hot snack, but we get the work done regardless. It’s just a practical little office where a few of us keep the operations running for this part of the coast. We just take it one day at a time.
