Our spot is at F-5/16 in V.V. Nagar, part of the Vidyanagar area in Torangallu. It sits under the Sandur Taluk in Bellary district. It is a dry and dusty part of Karnatka, but that is where the steel is, so that is where we are too. Working at Jsw Steel Ltd. here means you get used to the sound of heavy machinery in the distance. The office itself is pretty basic. We have a few rooms where we keep all the records and handle the day-to-day tasks. There is nothing fancy about the furniture or the way we run things. We focus on getting the steel moving and making sure the counts are right. Often, the heat gets to be a lot, but we have some fans going and we just get on with it. It’s a practical environment. We don’t spend time on big meetings or fancy talk. Most of the guys here are local or have moved here specifically for the industry work. We know the roads well and how long it takes for a truck to get through the gates. If you come by, you’ll probably see us sorting through piles of invoices or talking to the site supervisors. It is honest work and we like being part of the community in this corner of Bellary. Life moves at a certain pace here, and we just follow along, making sure the steel side of things is taken care of properly for everyone involved.
