Jsw Steel Ltd Bellary

My name is Praveen and I’m one of the guys working out here for the steel plant in Bellary. My family is actually from Ugar Bk in Athani, which is quite a distance away in the Belgaum district. It’s a long trip back home, so I spend most of my time here near the works. Living away from home isn't always easy, but there are plenty of us doing the same thing. I’m the son of Shankar Navaliger, and back in my village, things are very different compared to this industrial setup. Out here, it’s all about the steel and the heat. I spend my days focusing on the tasks at hand and then heading back to my place to rest. You get used to the routine of it. The Bellary sun is much harsher than what we have back in Belgaum, so that took some time to adjust to. I usually call home in the evenings to check on everyone. There isn’t much to do for fun around here, so we just talk with other workers or watch a bit of TV. It’s a quiet life outside of the factory walls. People here come from all over Karnataka and even further. We all have that common ground of being here for the work. It’s honest work, even if it’s tiring. I just keep my head down and do what needs doing.
