We are based in the JSW Township over in Vidyanagar village. It's out in Tornagallu, in the Bellary district of Karnataka. Living and working here is actually pretty quiet compared to the big cities like Bangalore. The address for our unit is L4/4 right in the township. Many of us stay right here because the works are so close by, which makes life a bit easier. Karnataka can get quite warm in the summers, especially out this way near the mines. We deal with the steel production side of things mostly. It’s a large community of workers and their families all living together in the township area. You get used to the rhythm of the place after a few months. We start our shifts early and the work goes through the day and night. It's not a flashy office at all, just a practical space where we handle the daily logs and site requirements. People from all over the country come to work here in Tornagallu. We've basically got our own little world in Vidyanagar. The mail comes to L4/4. If you're looking for us, just head towards the main township gate. It’s easy to find once you get into the village area. We just try to keep the operations running as smoothly as we can. Steel is heavy work, but it keeps things going for a lot of people in this part of the state. We don't have fancy words for what we do here.
