You will find us in Toranagallu, which is in the Bellary district of Karnataka. We are over at Vidyanagar, specifically at M2/14 where Donitha Lobo is. This whole area is basically built around the steel industry. If you live here, you probably work for the plant or know someone who does. It is a unique kind of town because everything is so connected to the company. We deal with the day-to-day operations and the people side of things for the steel works. The air always has that smell of industry, and the red dust from the ground gets on everything. We are used to it by now. Our office is a simple setup, nothing like those tall buildings you see in Bangalore. We spend our time checking logs and making sure the workers have what they need. It is a lot of practical work. Sometimes the heat in Bellary gets intense, almost like the furnaces themselves, but we just keep the water cold and keep moving. We are a tight-knit group here because we all live and work in the same colony. We do not need fancy mission statements because everyone knows why we are here. We just want to make the steel and make sure the town keeps running smoothly for everyone's families. It is a hard life but a good one for the people who stay.
