Our office in Bellary is located at House Number 31. It’s more of a residential house than a commercial office, which gives it a very different feel. You walk through a regular front door and find us all working in what used to be living spaces. Bellary is a town that gets very dusty because of the industries nearby, so we are always cleaning our desks. It’s usually quite hot outside, so we keep the fans running at full speed all day long. We have some old chairs that are still comfortable enough for a long day of work. At Ismt, we don’t really have a hierarchy where everyone stays in their own bubble. We are all in the same few rooms, so we hear everything that is going on. It makes the day go by faster when you can talk to your colleagues easily. We don’t have any marketing brochures or fancy displays. Our walls are mostly covered with calendars and notes we’ve pinned up over the years. We take our tea breaks outside on the small porch when the weather allows it. It’s a simple setup, and we have been here long enough that the neighbors don’t even look twice when we show up in the morning. We just focus on getting our lists finished and keeping things moving. It’s an honest way to spend the day, and we like the familiar routine of this house.
