Eastern Equipment Engineering

You can find us at the JSW Residency Guest House, specifically in room or block C-102. This is in Vidyanagar, which is part of the Toranagallu village in the Bellary district. It’s a very industrial area because of the big steel plants nearby. Eastern Equipment Engineering is based here mainly because of all that activity. It gets incredibly dusty and hot in this part of Karnataka, so we spend a lot of time trying to keep the equipment clean. Our office is more like a base of operations for the engineers who are out on-site most of the day. It’s not a permanent-looking place, more of a practical spot to stay while the work is happening. We deal with heavy engineering equipment, so there's always talk of spare parts and maintenance schedules. Living and working out of a residency guest house has its quirks, like eating at the same canteen every day. The landscape around here is mostly red dirt and big factory chimneys. We aren't here to make things look pretty, we are just here to make sure the machines are running for the big projects in the area. It’s a long way from the big cities, but there’s plenty of work to keep us occupied. We usually end the day pretty tired and just ready to do it all again tomorrow. It’s a tough environment, but we’ve gotten used to the heat and the noise.
