Bellary Engineering College

Bellary Engineering College is located right on the Bellary Hospet Road, out in Allipur. If you’ve traveled this road, you know it can get quite dusty and busy with all the mining trucks passing by. The campus is at No.873/2, Jnana Gangotri Campus. It’s a fairly large area with different buildings for the various branches of engineering. The sun in Bellary can be quite harsh, so the corridors are built to stay as cool as possible. We see students coming from all over the district and even from other parts of Karnataka. The vibe here is pretty laid back compared to the big city colleges. People here talk in a mix of Kannada and Telugu, and the atmosphere is very local. We have teachers who have been here for decades, and they’ve seen the college change over the years. The labs are where most of the real work happens, with students getting their hands dirty with machines. It’s not a polished corporate office environment. It’s a place where people work hard and try to get things done. In the evenings, you can see students hanging around the campus or heading back to the hostels. It’s a community of its own out here on the highway. We just keep doing our thing, making sure the classes happen and the exams get graded on time. It’s a practical place for practical people. We don't worry about being fancy, just about getting the work finished.
