Summy Industries

Summy Industries is located at Office Number 27-30 in the Tiny Society area of Sant Rohidas Nagar. This is right in the heart of Udyambag, which is a very industrial part of the city. If you walk through this area, you hear the sound of machines everywhere. Our place is no different. It is a bit cramped inside because we have to fit all our equipment into the space we have. We do a lot of small-scale manufacturing and parts work. It’s the kind of place where your clothes get a bit dirty by lunch and the smell of cutting oil is always in the air. We have been operating out of Udyambag for some time and we like being part of this community. Everyone knows everyone else around here. Sometimes we borrow a tool from the neighbor, or they come to us for help with a specific cut. It is a practical way of working. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising. We just focus on the metal on the bench and making sure the dimensions are correct. It can be tiring work, especially when the orders pile up, but we just take it one piece at a time. The office is small and mostly used for keeping our papers in order. Most of the real work happens out on the floor where the noise is.
