Shree Shyam Sarees

Our saree shop is at 2384 on the 3rd Cross in Bharath Nagar. Shahapur is a quiet enough area compared to the main part of the city. We have stacks of sarees everywhere you look. It is a lot of fabric to manage every day. We are not a big showroom with lights and mirrors. It is more of a local place where people come when they need something specific for a family event. We have been here for years. The shelves are completely full of different colors and patterns. Sometimes it is hard to find a specific one when someone asks for it. We spend a lot of time folding and then unfolding them again. The light in the front of the shop is better for showing the true colors. My wife helps with the customers. She knows the styles much better than I do. We have a small wooden bench outside for people to sit if the shop is full. It is a simple business. We do not do any big marketing or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people find our spot on the 3rd Cross. The neighbors are nice people. We often share a cup of tea in the afternoons when it is slow. It gets very busy during the wedding season. Then we are here late into the night. It is tiring but it is our life. We just try to keep enough stock.
