Roopam-The Gift Shop

We are located at 1526 Maruti Galli in Belgaum. This street is one of the busiest parts of the city, especially during the festival seasons. Roopam has been here for a good amount of time now. The shop is full of various gift items, from small trinkets to bigger pieces for the home. Maruti Galli is quite narrow, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze with the scooters and shoppers passing by. We open up early and stay until the evening rush dies down. Inside, the shelves are packed, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for. We don’t have a big corporate team, just us running the place and helping whoever walks in. People in Belgaum know this area well, so we see a lot of familiar faces. It’s a bit old-fashioned here, which we like. We don’t do much in the way of fancy displays, we just put the stock out so people can browse. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use the lanterns, but that’s just life in the Galli. It’s a simple gift shop where you can find something for a birthday or a wedding without too much fuss. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, serving the people who come down this busy street looking for something special. It gets pretty loud on Saturdays but we don't mind the company.
