New Universal Iron Works

New Universal Iron Works is spread across 189 A/1C and also numbers 190 and 191 on Dharwad Road. Because we work with iron, we need a lot of physical space for the raw materials and the finished pieces. It is a noisy place to spend the day, with the sound of cutting and welding echoing through the shop. We have been on Dharwad Road for a long time, and we are pretty well known by the other businesses nearby. Our workspace is not a showroom; it is a gritty shop where we get our hands dirty. There is usually iron scrap in the corners and the smell of hot metal in the air. We take on all sorts of projects, from simple gates to bigger structural frames. It is a lot of heavy lifting and careful measurements. We do not have a professional front desk or anyone in a suit. Most of us are in overalls and heavy boots. The traffic on the road outside is constant, but we mostly just focus on what is on the workbench in front of us. Some days we are ahead of schedule and other days we are scrambling to finish a big job before the sun goes down. It is a tough trade, but it is what we know how to do. We just open the doors and start the machines every morning, same as always.
