Mannath Spices

Mannath Spices is located at unit number 2 in the APMC Yard. Being in the yard means there is always a lot of activity around us with trucks coming and going. The smell of different spices is quite strong as soon as you step inside our space. We spend a lot of our time sorting through sacks and making sure everything is stored correctly. It is a dusty environment but that is expected when you work with dried goods all day. My father started this and now I help him out with the daily tasks. We have a few scales for weighing and some old tables for packing. The yard can get very loud during the peak hours of the morning when everyone is trying to move their goods. We don't have a fancy office, just a small corner with a table and a couple of ledgers. Most of our work involves moving heavy bags from one side of the room to the other. It is physically demanding but we are used to it by now. We see the same people every week at the APMC and it feels like a little community. Sometimes we have a cup of tea with the neighbors when things settle down in the afternoon. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the orders are ready for whoever needs them. It is a straightforward business without any complications.
