Balaji Safety

Balaji Safety is located on the upper ground floor of a building on Odai Road in Saraswathi Nagar. We’re at Shop No. 23, right in the heart of Ambattur. If you know this part of Chennai, you know it’s a hub for factories and workshops. That’s why we’re here, surrounded by people who need to stay safe on the job. We stock all sorts of things like helmets, high-visibility vests, and heavy-duty gloves. The shop is small, so we have to stack the boxes pretty high to fit everything in. It smells like rubber and new plastic in here most of the time. We don't have a website that’s updated every hour or a big sales team. It’s mostly just us helping people who walk in looking for a specific type of boot or a mask. The Odai Road area gets pretty busy, especially during shift changes at the nearby plants. We’ve been in this spot long enough that we know most of the regular safety officers who come by. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to make sure the guy working the machine has the right gear so he doesn't get hurt. It’s a plain, honest business and we take pride in having the right stuff on the shelves when someone needs it. We close up around seven and head home to do it all again tomorrow.
