K.L.E.S. Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital & Medical Research Centre

This place sits right on NH 4A in Nehru Nagar. It’s a pretty large setup, so you can't really miss it when you're driving along the highway. Because it’s a hospital and a research center, there is always something going on at any hour. You’ll see students walking around with their books and doctors rushing between wards. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. The hallways are long and there are a lot of different wings for different things. We handle everything from regular checkups to much more serious stuff that requires staying overnight. It’s not the kind of place that feels like a hotel; it’s a working hospital. There’s a lot of equipment everywhere and the smell of antiseptic is usually pretty strong. We get people coming in from all over the region because of our location on the main road. Parking can be a bit of a scramble during peak hours, especially with all the staff and visitors trying to find a spot. It gets loud with the traffic outside, but inside we try to keep things moving. We don’t do much advertising because the work just keeps coming and the town knows we are here. It’s a busy, functional building where people come to get better or learn about medicine. It’s just a part of the landscape in Nehru Nagar now. We just do the work and try to keep up with the daily rush of patients.
