We’ve been over here on Goods Shed Road for quite a while now. Being so close to the railway station means there is never a quiet moment. You can hear the trains pulling in and the whistles blowing all through the day and even into the late evening. Deccan Medical Centre Pvt Ltd is just a plain building, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but it gets the job done for the folks who live around here. Most people find us because they are already at the station or they live in the nearby lanes. The rooms are a bit small and the hallways can get cramped when it’s a busy morning. We have a few chairs in the waiting area that have seen better days, but they are comfortable enough. The staff here is just a small group of us who have worked together for years. We know each other’s habits and how we like our tea. It isn’t a corporate setup where everything is polished and perfect. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk or the phone rings too much, but we just handle it one thing at a time. It’s a practical place for people who need to see someone without a lot of fuss. We don’t do any big advertising or anything. People just walk in. It’s just how things go on this side of town, staying busy and keeping the doors open. We just take it day by day.
