Bombay Restaurant Travel Office

We have been running this small travel spot inside the Bombay Restaurant Travel Office for quite some time now. Being right by the Railway Station in Belgaum means there is never a quiet moment. You can hear the trains pulling in and the whistles blowing all day long. The office is tucked into a corner of the station area, zip code 590001. Most of the people who come to see us are in a hurry. They might be arriving on a morning train and need a way to get to the other side of town, or they are looking for a bus ticket because the trains were all full. It usually smells like fried snacks and tea here because of the restaurant. We have a couple of old wooden desks and some plastic chairs for people to sit on while they wait. The phone rings a lot with people asking about timings and prices. Sometimes we have to shout over the noise of the announcements from the station platforms. It is a bit chaotic, but we like it that way. We just try to get the tickets printed and the cars sorted out for whoever walks in. The walls are covered in some old calendars and a few hand-written notes about bus routes. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. We just do our work and talk to the folks passing through. It is just how things are at the station.
