Bharta Book Stall

Bharta Book Stall is located at 85-36 in Harugeri Village. We are part of the Raybag Taluk area. Being in a village means things are a bit different than they are in the big towns. We know most of the people who walk through our door by their first names. The shop is quite humble. We don't have those bright lights or big display windows you see in the city. It’s just a room with wooden shelves that we built ourselves to hold all the books. We carry a bit of everything that the local folks might need, from school books to things for the farmers. It gets a bit dusty because of the roads nearby, but that’s just life in Harugeri. We don’t have a fancy business plan or a big marketing budget. We just stay here because people need things to read or study. The shop is often a place where people stop for a minute to talk while they are out doing their errands. It’s a slow pace of life, and we like it that way. We spend our time checking the stock and writing down what we need to get from the bigger distributors. It’s a lot of manual work and pen-and-paper record-keeping. We don't use computers much here. We just keep the doors open and help the community as best as we can with the books we have on hand. It’s our small way of contributing to the village.
