Our place is right on Chikodi Road in Nipani, specifically at 4/57. It’s a decent-sized spot where we deal with the daily tea trade. Nipani is a busy enough place, and being on the road to Chikodi means we see a lot of traffic passing by. The building itself is pretty plain, but it works for what we need. We handle a lot of Assam tea here, obviously, and it keeps us occupied from morning until evening. Most of the time, the floor is covered with bags and we are busy sorting through things. It isn't a showroom or a big corporate office, just a workspace where the actual labor happens. We’ve got a small crew here and everyone knows their job. Some of us have been working on this road for years, so we’ve seen the area change quite a bit. It gets dusty sometimes when the wind picks up off the road, and the noise of the trucks is something you just get used to after a week or two. We don’t really do much advertising or anything, we just focus on the tea that comes in and goes out. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. If you walk in, you’ll likely smell the tea before you see anyone. It’s a strong, earthy smell that stays in your clothes long after you go home. That’s just life at our Nipani location.
