Solanke Enterprises

Our place is unit B-370 over at the 2nd Gate Industrial Estate on Gokul Road. It’s a big estate, so it took us a while to get settled in properly. Solanke Enterprises has been running out of this shed for a long time. It’s got high ceilings and plenty of room for our equipment, though it feels smaller when we have a lot of material lying around. The 2nd Gate is usually pretty active with tempos and lorries moving in and out all day long. We start our shift early because the heat can get a bit much by the afternoon. Most of the guys here live nearby, so they walk or bike in. We do a lot of different fabrication and supply work, mostly just whatever the local orders require. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, your hands get dirty within ten minutes of starting, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We keep our tools on the wall and try to keep things organized, but when we’re in the middle of a big job, things get a bit messy. Gokul Road is a good spot for an industrial business like ours because the transport links are easy. We don't spend much time in an office; most of the day is spent on the shop floor checking the machines or talking to the suppliers. We just keep moving forward one day at a time and try to get the orders finished on schedule.
