Shubhchintan Chits is located right on the ground floor at 1920 Mysore Road. We are very close to Desai Circle and just a short walk from Teli Hospital, so it’s a very busy part of town. Being on the ground floor is handy because people can just step inside without having to deal with stairs or elevators. The office is usually filled with the sound of the traffic outside, as Mysore Road never really seems to get quiet. We handle all the chit fund operations here, from signing up new members to managing the monthly auctions. It's a lot of manual work, writing things down in big books and checking receipts. We don't have any corporate branding or fancy lobby furniture. There are just some wooden desks, a few plastic chairs for when people need to wait, and a water cooler in the corner. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we are always wiping down the tables and the computer screens. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. It’s a community thing, really. When someone stops by, we might chat about the local news or how the road construction is going. The day goes by pretty fast when you're busy with the accounts. We try to keep things simple and clear for everyone involved. It’s a basic setup, but it works for us and the people we serve in this part of Bangalore.
