Shri Siddhivinayak Rural Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital Research Centre is the name of our place. We are located out on the Athani Gokak Road in Harugeri. This is part of the TQ - Raibag region. It is a rural setting, which actually works quite well for the Ayurvedic work and teaching we do here. We have a college where students learn the trade, a hospital where we see patients, and we also do research on the side. It is a large campus because there is so much going on at once. Being right on the road between Athani and Gokak makes us a central spot for people from the surrounding villages. We see many folks from Harugeri and other parts of Raibag. The atmosphere here is a bit more relaxed than what you might find in a big city hospital. We follow traditional Ayurvedic practices. The buildings include classrooms for the students and various wards for the patients who come to stay with us. It is a busy life for everyone who works and studies here. We just go about our daily business without much fuss. Some days are more hectic than others, especially when a new semester starts or the clinic is particularly full. We do not have any corporate polish or fancy marketing. We are just a rural institution trying to keep these traditions going while helping our local community.
