Shri Lakshmi Kirana Shop

Shri Lakshmi Kirana Shop is situated at 26/2/1 in the SLV Complex, which is on Station Road in Azad Nagar. Being on Station Road means we hear the trains going by all the time, and there is always a flow of people coming and going from the station. The SLV Complex is a busy little hub, and our kirana shop fits right in there. We keep a variety of pulses, spices, and other kitchen staples in big containers and small packets. The space is a bit tight, so we have to use every inch of the walls for shelving. It’s a family-style environment where we know most people's names and what they usually buy on a Tuesday. We spend our time weighing out things and tying up plastic bags with that quick little knot everyone does. Azad Nagar is a lively area and being near the station keeps us on our toes. The floor gets a bit dusty from all the foot traffic, but we give it a good sweep every few hours. We don’t do any fancy marketing; our business is just about being there for the local families and the commuters who need to grab something on their way home. It’s practical work and it keeps us connected to the community. We just keep things simple and focus on the daily chores.
