Shikshaakey Foundation

Our office for Shikshaakey Foundation is located at Pl 21, Sc No 51 in the Laxmi Tek area. It's off Ganeshpur Road here in Belgaum. If you know the 590009 zip code area, you know it's a mix of homes and small shops. We’ve been here for a while now. The building is pretty simple. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and some old shelves filled with files. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting with people who stop by. Being in Karnataka, we get a lot of locals coming in. It gets pretty dusty on Ganeshpur Road during the dry months, so we are always cleaning the windows. We aren't a big corporation or anything like that. It’s just a few of us trying to stay organized. Most days, we are just figuring out the next step for whatever project is on the desk. Sometimes the internet acts up, or we run out of tea, and things slow down a bit. That’s just how it goes. We don't have any flashy brochures. We just talk to folks. It’s a quiet life at Laxmi Tek most of the time. We like being part of the Belgaum community. It feels right to be where the people are. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It takes time to get things right, but we don't mind the slow pace.
