Shanbhag Ice Cream

Shanbhag Ice Cream is over here on Railway Station Road in the Vatekeri area. It is a small shop at 7-856, and we get a lot of people walking by from the station throughout the day. The trains keep everything moving and the constant noise is just part of the daily routine for us now. We open up early and stay open until the last few commuters pass through on their way home. It’s nothing special to look at, just a counter and some freezer units against the wall. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the floor gets a bit messy when it rains outside. We have been in this spot for some time and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. You will see us just doing the work, scooping out different flavors into cups or cones for the kids and travelers. There is no big team here, just a couple of us making sure things run okay and the bills get paid. Sometimes we run out of a certain flavor before the next delivery truck comes, and we just have to tell people to pick something else. It happens. We don't have fancy lights or big signs. Usually, people just know we are here because they pass us every single day on their walk. It gets hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always going full blast. We just do our bit and hope the electricity doesn't cut out on us.
