We’re located over at Survey No 683 in the Udyambag Industrial Estate. It is a busy area with a lot of workshops lined up one after another. Our focus is mainly on hydraulics and control systems for various kinds of machinery. The place usually smells like machine oil and old rags, which is pretty standard for a shop like ours. We have a lot of heavy parts lying around, so you have to be careful where you walk. The guys on the shop floor have been with us for a long time and they really know their stuff when it comes to pumps and valves. We don't really do the whole corporate office thing. Most of our business happens right there on the floor or over a quick cup of chai by the side door. It’s a practical way of working. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate and we have to wait around for the generator to kick in, which gives us a bit of a break. We handle a lot of repair jobs and some custom builds too. It isn't always pretty, and things can get messy when you're taking apart a hydraulic unit, but we make sure it’s back in working order before it leaves the gate. It’s just how we’ve always done things here in Udyambag. We’ve seen other shops come and go, but we’ve managed to stay put at Survey No 683. Our tools are well-used.
