Satapute Foundation

The Satapute Foundation is based in Nipani, which is in the Belgaum district of Karnataka. Our office is located at Plot No. 25 in Sai Shankar Nagar. A good way to find us is to look for the blood bank, as we are right near there. It is a busy little area with a lot of movement throughout the day. The building we are in is just a standard plot that we have converted into a workspace. It isn't a fancy office with glass partitions; it’s more like a series of rooms filled with files and old furniture. We have been working from this location for quite some time now. The street can get a bit loud with the sounds of the town, but we have gotten used to it. Inside, we have a few ceiling fans that help with the heat during the summer months. Most of our work involves a lot of reading and writing, so we need the quiet spots in the back of the building. We don't have a receptionist, so if someone comes to the door, one of us just gets up to see who it is. It is a very informal and local way of doing things. The people in the neighborhood are friendly and we see the same faces every day. It feels like we are part of the daily life here in Nipani and Belgaum.
