Samavastra Creations

Samavastra Creations is based in the Arun bakery building at #378/1, on the first floor. We are in the Anandwadi area of Shahapur, right beside the KLE Ayurvedic Hospital. This location is quite easy to find, especially since the hospital is such a well-known landmark around here. Working above a bakery has its pros and cons, mostly because the smell of fresh bread is always around. We have been in this first-floor space for a good amount of time. Our work is all about garments and textiles, and we spend most of our time here cutting, sewing, and checking on how everything is coming along. It is a very practical workspace with lots of tables, machines, and shelves full of fabric. We don't have any fancy office furniture or big conference rooms. It is just a place where we come to work and get things done. The people who work with us are from the local Shahapur area, and we have a very casual atmosphere in the shop. We do not spend time on promotional talk or trying to sound like a big corporation. We just want to make sure the clothes we produce are finished and that the folks who ordered them get what they need. It is a steady, quiet life here in Anandwadi, and we like it that way. Most days we are just busy with the fabric until the sun goes down and it is time to close up the building for the night.
