Ratna Cashews

You will find Ratna Cashews at Shop No 1952. We are in Ward No 4, right near the Ambabhavani Temple. Gacchinakatti Colony is a busy little neighborhood. You can often hear the bells from the temple during the morning prayers. It’s a sound we have grown very used to. The shop itself is quite small. We have bags stacked up against the walls. The floor is old stone that stays relatively cool even when it’s hot outside. We spend a lot of time weighing things out and tying up bags. There is a lot of dust from the street that drifts in, so we are always wiping down the counters. Being near the temple means there are always people walking by. Sometimes they stop in just to say hello or ask for directions. Ratna Cashews is a simple operation. We don't have fancy displays or bright lights. Just the goods and a simple scale. Gacchinakatti Colony has a lot of narrow lanes that twist around. Ward No 4 is right in the thick of it. We keep the overhead fan on high all day long. My back usually aches a bit by five o’clock from all the lifting. We close up Shop No 1952 when the sun starts to set. It’s a good spot to be, right in the heart of the colony. People know where we are. We just stay busy and keep things moving. We try to keep everything tidy, but it is hard.
